Masters Swimming
Masters swimming is a worldwide program promoting physical fitness and health in adults through aquatic conditioning. The Masters swimming program provides opportunities to participate in progressive lifelong fitness and competitive swimming, as well as fellowship and camaraderie among other Masters swimmers.
Masters swimming requires no previous competitive swimming experience. Anyone 18 years of age or older can join. Many swimming pools provide Masters swimming programs where members can participate in coached workouts with other Masters. Competitive opportunities are also available through local swim meets, national meets, postal meets, open water swims, and other competitions worldwide, including a World Championship meet held every two years. |
